Linda Williams (Vice President of Marketing & Instructor)
Linda
has been in the Mortgage Industry for over 27 years, with experience in
many areas of the industry from Foreclosure Specialist, Quality Control
Specialist, Senior Loan Processor, Conforming Underwriter, Loan
Originator, Operations Manager, Account Executive, and Branch Manager.
As well as the varied positions she's held, she has experience lending
in many states which gives her a strong understanding of how the
industry functions.
Linda is currently the Vice President of Marketing for Mortgage
Trainers of North America, a Division of Silver State Trainers Inc. As
VP of Marketing for Mortgage Trainers of North America, Linda is
responsible for maintaining the database and keeping our clientele
informed of industry changes. She continually updates the training
manuals to give professionals the most up to date and accurate
information available. Linda will continue to contribute to the
industry by developing usable educational classes, informative
articles, presenting professional marketing seminars for loan
originators and wholesale account executives, and writing instructional
"'how to' books. She is co-author of "Mortgage Lending Basics", "The Secret of Mortgage Lending Success" and author of "Processing 101".
Her last position as Branch Manager for a major non-prime lender she
held for six productive years, Linda built the Nevada operations from
zero production and employees to over $30 million a month in production
making her office one of the top offices in her region. She
successfully managed a full service wholesale office staff of
twenty-seven, while achieving and maintaining her personal production
as top producer in the company's "Presidents Circle".
She holds a double major for Management and Marketing in Business
Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. There she won
a state award in Marketing, and continues to use her marketing skills
to promote and educate.
Linda has taught thousands how to succeed in the Mortgage Industry
business, and has written many manuals used for training mortgage
professionals. She also writes informative articles for popular
mortgage industry magazines and current customer database. You can join

Linda developed an in-depth Mortgage Processing training program for
Arizona Mortgage Bankers Association from 1994 to 1996 which help meet
the demand for trained processors. When Linda moved to Nevada, she
joined the Mortgage Brokers Association, becoming Education Chair
Person from 1999 to 2001. As Education Chair Person she established the
educational program for the Mortgage Brokers Association in Nevada
which set the foundation for legislation requiring loan originator
licensing. She was elected as the Southern Nevada Vice-President in
2003. She was then elected as President of the Nevada Mortgage Brokers
Association in 2004 turning an ailing association around and generating
income and membership to levels never before reached in the
association. Linda is a strong supporter of industry associations
serving as a member and board positions.
In 2000, Linda met Roger Rothberg who was also involved in educating
and improving the mortgage industry. She joined Roger teaching mortgage
lending classes at the Community College of Southern Nevada. In 2003,
they formed Silver State Trainers Corporation and started to develop
additional beginner classes to train new comers to the industry. In
2005, Linda and Roger started Mortgage Trainers of North America to
expand the offerings to experienced loan originators requiring CEU
credit for state licensing.
Roger Rothberg (Vice President of Education & Instructor)
Roger
has been in the Mortgage Industry for over 40 years, beginning as a
Loan Officer in 1963 for a major California Savings and Loan. His
experience of having lived through the major law changes in the
industry including the development of the secondary market give him
invaluable insight to the industry. His background in retail
conventional lending, small commercial lending, residential
construction and permanent loans, loan servicing, wholesale conforming
and non-conforming lending gives him a hands-on in-depth base of
knowledge of the mortgage industry few can offer today.
Roger is currently the Vice President of Education for Mortgage
Trainers of North America, a Division of Silver State Trainers Inc. As
VP of Education for Mortgage Trainers of North America, Roger is
responsible for training live classes, class development, writing
textbooks, scheduling classes and training instructors. Roger is a
valuable asset to the mortgage industry continuing to develop
additional courses for Mortgage Professionals, delivering his classes
in an honest and clear fashion. During the mid 1970's, Roger opened his
own mortgage brokerage in Southern California giving him a strong
working knowledge of managing a mortgage company. After closing his
brokerage in the late 1980's, Roger went into wholesale lending working
for several major conforming and non-conforming mortgage bankers over
the years.
In 1998, Roger developed a mortgage-training program for
the College of Southern Nevada (now known as College of Southern
Nevada). This relationship has grown over the years, and continues
today with the "Mortgage Lending Series" as one of the most thorough
training classes for new comers to the mortgage lending industry. The
Series focuses on teaching professionalism and essential industry
knowledge. The Series has realized an estimated 50% of the students
successfully have entered the Mortgage Lending Industry.
Roger has successfully taught thousands how to succeed in the mortgage industry, and has co-authored the book "'Mortgage Lending Basics" and "The Secret of Mortgage Lending Success".
His many years of experience working in the industry along with his
training skills makes his instruction superior to other offerings. Yet
even with all his knowledge, Roger is able to present the classroom
information in an easy to understand manner for new comers to the
industry. His real world knowledge and clear explanations come across
in his presentation given to each student. This gives a strong
foundation of industry knowledge and skills necessary for the student
and their professionalism needed to succeed.
In 2000, Roger met Linda Williams who was also involved in educating
and improving mortgage industry professionalism. Linda joined Roger
teaching mortgage lending classes at the Community College of Southern

the industry. In 2005, Linda and Roger started Mortgage Trainers of

requiring "Continuing Educational Units" credit for Nevada state
licensing.
Roger's previous positions as Education Director for Nevada Association
of Mortgage Brokers in 2004, and Director of Education for American
Institute of Mortgage and Real Estate in 2005 gives Roger the
experience to understand what students need to become successful in the
Mortgage Industry. Roger's high ethics and integrity ensures the
students will be instructed on how to become a Mortgage Professional,
and not just another Loan Originator.
